If Moscow Mitch shuts down impeachment with all this evidence against Trump, it'll just show that the game is rigged and that the Right Wing are ultimately morally corrupt if they continue to support Trump.

If the Republicans are smart, they'd consider throwing Trump under the bus to ensure they keep hold of the Senate. Defending a blatantly corrupt President that has called to other countries multiple times to investigate his rivals will ultimately cost them more than losing the White House for a term or two would.
