Where on Earth did you get that from? A fascist state wouldn't have a free press able to call out the leader, it certainly wouldn't allow the constant riots or even the peaceful protests which preceded them, and wouldn't have two chambers able to veto the president's actions.

All of the fascist precursors were there, just like they are here. Fascism doesn't happen overnight, and nobody rides into power on a promise of it.
