I've been rewatching Season 1 to refresh myself for Season 2.

I enjoyed Season 1 more this time around, it has some clever twists and it always felt like the Show had a clear direction of where it wanted to go.

I have only seen the first two episodes of Season 2 so far, but I am concerned that it's a bit more aimless this season, and possibly recycling certain storylines from Season 1, but maybe I'm overthinking it too much tbf.

And without meaning to sound hateful towards a child, but why have we got a child working at Lumon? It's slightly annoying how so many stories these days try to shoehorn children into the plot, even if it's a bit unnatural for the story to have them beyond a bit part role at best.

I do still like the characters though, and the actors have got back into their roles well in my view.

That's most likely because of the extra red tape involved in hiring actual child actors; same reason that in shows like Dawson's Creek, The OC, One Tree Hill etc. most of the time the high school kids are actually full adults in their 20's. Cordelia in Buffy The Vampire Slayer was 29 when it started .

But yes she's 18 but hired because she looks young; I think the Miss Huang character is probably supposed to be around 14-15?

She was 16 when they started filming and it's been said in interviews and such that she's playing a child.

Fair enough, I am probably just being jaded because a lot of Anime do like to force child characters into major roles just for the sake of it. And a lot of Shows in America do feel like they're trying to replicate what Stranger Things was able to pull off in the streaming world.

But if her writing ends up being well written then fair enough I suppose.

…I thought that the scene in last episode with Milchick and Miss Huang was very unsettling…

…when he ordered her to destroy her favourite toy/the hoop game and to keep on hitting it harder with the hammer…it really displayed the power and control over a young mind and is that a part of Lumon and their interest in the fertility clinic….that they choose minds/children from birth that they’re going to control to mould into their people…did Milchick order her to destroy it to just display that control or was it to symbolise an ending to her childhood, that she had no need for a ‘child toy’ anymore…

…the Finale episode is apparently extended to 76 minutes …that’s outtie minutes….
