Yes, there's those couples, groups of three, aren't there?

Let's think...

Cyprus - Greece

Sweden - Norway - Finland - Denmark

Russia - Ukraine (this year, i guess!)

Spain - Portugal ?

Belgium - France ?

Just looked out of curiosity, Jade is nowhere to be seen on the iTunes chart!

Haha, that does sound like we're making more of an effort this year, then ... are they all the places she's visited, performed?

I'm spending a month in Russia this summer, shame I'm not there to be a spectator, it must be quite an experience! ... Or maybe it's a good thing, lol!

I just heared this version of the Jade's song. It is by far the best; vocaly and the more classical insumental background. I really hope they use this version and not the music video version. Fingers FIRMLY crossed.

[ignore the video visual, because its out of sync]

Just an interesting little fact I learnt:

The amount of LED Lighting used in this years Eurovision stage, is the same quantity as the stages in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 & 2008's COMBINED

It must be massive!

Sometimes i feel asif im the only one that appreciates this kind of stuff. I love thinking about how hard it must have been to make the stage etc.. wheras other poeple just watch the show...

P.s. Cant wait to see the UK's rehersal. I hope they decide to go with the version she performed on Polish tv.

You're not the only one MR.K!

I'm always far more interested in the graphics and logo, visual design of the contest, before the actual songs haha!

Take Eurovision 2007 (Helsinki) the visual design was AMAZING, I loved the logo and all the graphics while the contest was on.

Last year everything looked rubbish, but this years looks quite good again.

Agreed. I loved Helsinki's voting map graphics and the finger pointing to the country. Unlike last year with a big ball rolling over europe

The only problem I have with the UK's is that its a bit slow and perhaps a bit dull for my liking? Then again I think we have a good chance this year, I don't like as many as I did last year. Only love Ukraine really so far.

I hated our song at first, but I think now that people will appreciate Jade's talent and she really does have a good chance of being in the top 10. I doubt we will win though.

Can't wait to see this rehearsal today

I reckon we have a great chance of winning this year, this is the first UK song I have liked in a LONG time.

Ireland's delegation not happy with production in rehersals

At the start of yesterdays Irish press conference which followed yesterday's second technical rehearsal for this year's Eurovision Song Contest entry for Ireland a statement was made by the Head of the Irish Delegation Julian Vignoles. He voiced his dissatisfaction regarding the host broadcaster Channel One Russia on the inconsistent approach used by production team on the camera presentation.
Mr Vignoles said, "we have just come from a difficult session in the viewing room. We have been extremely disappointed by the coverage we’ve got in terms of the multi camera directing and the shots, and it would be a waste of time to come here and pretend otherwise."

He added, "The rehearsal has gone a little bit backwards in a lot of ways from where we were in our first rehearsal and this is most disturbing and demoralising for Sinéad and the girls, and it’s something that the production will have to take into account."

Furthermore, "I think that perhaps we aren’t the only country that is suffering in this way but there are some very basic televisual rules not being observed in the cutting. Cameras are doing things they shouldn’t do, they are doing things that they’re not sure of and they are not being cut very well."

He was complimentary in saying that he knew the whole production team were working very hard but felt that, with a four day break before the start of the dress rehearsals, everything "should be in much better shape. I think that they need to get their act together a bit better," said Mr Vignoles.

The usually extrovert Press Conference Host Dimitry Shépelev was, untypically silent, struggling to think of what to say. He gathered his thoughts and said that this was the first time he had heard a Delegation comment on the production like this and hoped that everything would be resolved.

esctoday.com contacted Mr. Vignoles directly for comment and said "I was just making the point that there were too many mistakes in the shooting of our song, considering this was the second rehearsal day."

However regarding the performance of Ireland's entry by Sinéad Mulvey & Black Daisy, he said, "We were all very happy with the performance.''
