think the itv coverage has been the best tonight. Andrew Neil being confrontational with every guest just isnt enjoyable

The pound surged against the dollar as the Conservative Party won on overall majority in the UK general election.

Sterling gained 2.2% to $1.34 - its highest level since May last year - on hopes that a big majority would remove uncertainty over Brexit.

The pound also jumped to a three-and-a-half-year high against the euro.

I'm hoping that I'm wrong and that Boris can do a good job now that he has got a majority to work with.

However after Cameron and May both being disasters I'm not holding out much hope for Boris actually being a good leader for the Conservatives.
