As PM, she gets to hand out the jobs, which is fair enough. The same faces just shows what a terrible move it was for Johnson to get rid of any tory with a couple of brain cells, in 2019. No difference in thought, no policies, just same again with a different face. I hope she does well, because we need it, but it is hope rather than expectation.

A few of the former leadership contenders seem to be getting positions. I don't know if it's a good thing that she's not "afraid" for want of better word to have them on her cabinet? I guess the pool of capable ("capable") Tories is quite shallow.

Surely we are being trolled by the appointment of Coffey as Health Minister, anyone who clearly has no respect for her own health is hardly likely to have respect for the nations

She's made her deputy PM as well.

I cannot stand Therese Coffey.
That one appointment to Health then making her deputy PM tells me all I need to know about the hard-line nature her government is going to continue to be.

Coffey was totally heartless as Work and Pensions secretary.

I'll that's been is a shuffle of those who have failed in their posts over the last couple of years

Yes, however, Coffey for me at Health and as deputy PM, is unbelievable and an insult to decency.
Gross, totally gross.

Awful woman, think she was the one who said people needed to work extra hours or something to bridge the gap....

BBC Text : [Truss's energy plans will be
funded with borrowing and the total cost
could be more than £150bn.
Cartoonist Matt wastes no time taking aim
at the plans, depicting a domestic scene
of a frustrated bill-payer saying:
"Doesn't anyone in this family ever switch
off a light? Today's children will end up
paying for this energy."]

SkyNewsHD newspaper review
at Downing St.,
described Truss Car
took a longer way round
and more
to wait for the rain to end,
so her speech was outside.

For once I'll try and show a Tory PM some support, especially considering she stopped Rishi getting in.

Hopefully she can fix not just the issues ahead with the energy bills, but the ongoing issue that we have with homelessness, and lack of Prison space in Prisons, because personally I want Dr. Kiddyfiddler to stay in jail.

Sod Off
Vince Cable moaning Liz Truss has no mandate.

I never noticed him
say anything about New Labour Gordon Brown [24 June 2007 – 11 May 2010]
not having a mandate?

the party gets a mandate at the GE for its manifesto, not the PM and their manifesto remains the same
