Of course they could have done that. Nominations take place late morning, that gives them half a day to come up with a decent twist for the housemates who they know have been nominated. The producers probably saw it was Jay/Anton and thought it'd be a good opportunity to give the wolfpack some power and spice things up.

Fine. I have no problem with it as long as both of them are not given extra power such as saving themselves. For example, if the twist is they can choose 2 housemates to replace them, it is absolutely reaking of a set-up. Let's face it, big brother can't wait to split up Faye/Aaron and this possibly could be there only option as everyone seems to be getting on well.

The paranormal activity thing has always been planned and I doubt they only came up with the Crypt idea and set up the whole task room in a few hours

A few hours is easily enough. They have transformed the garden overnight. It's not too dissimilar.

The whole room there is pretty elaborate though, and there's all the sound/visual/technical equipment that needs to be set up, they've obviously intended this twist to coincide with Halloween and the Paranormal Activity screening, I find it hard to believe the whole thing was only thought up a few hours ago

I think the nomination twist is the disappointing element. There is no point putting them in that room, if one of them is evicted.
