Yeah, I agree, that's the show's biggest failing.

They're not crafting a story to tell within 13 episodes anymore. They just set a theme and try to cram as much in as possible without regard for pacing and plotting.

I thought that it was a terrible series i was gutted by it. I love this show but i was really losing interest after a couple of episodes and found it a real chore to watch by the end.
The storyline was really lacking and the longer it went on the more irrelevant anything that happened seemed to the plot (there barely was one to start with). Viewing figures were abysmal and dropped off really badly after the premiere episode confirming how poor it was.

It is the curse of any successful American show that they end up dragging it out long after the ideas that made it great in the first place have dried out

There is a new series in the works i hope they can redeem themselves before it gets binned i hate watching shows go out with a whimper.

A lot of rewrites happened from eps 7-8 onwards I think that's why this season got a big messy
