Least shocking news of the decade. Sorry Tom, it's always been obvious. Let's be honest most knew ever since he minced his way with fake tan at 14 around Beijing 2008 Olympics and was really camp.

Tom did this outting deliberately. He knew last year he was going to have to go public with a same sex partner ahead of Splash2. But didn't want to alienate his female fan base - which he did, especially in US and Asia*, but he got publicity and kudos for outting himself in a new celeb way ie YouTube rather than an interview or otted by media scandal.

His sponsors didn't drop him for fear of anti-homophobic backlash but his advertising was reduced and quietly sidelined. His unfeeling "of course I like girls" throw away line in his YouTube outting was so unconvincing it was hilarious. Really dude, really?! Now that everyone has seen his older boyfriend Dustin Lance Black and got used to them strolling arm in arm , licking each others ice cream, he's come out 100% gay, almost the rest of his tween or female fan base has fallen away as no cool girl wants to be seen lusting after a gay guy. Straight blokes are taking the pi$$ out of his female fans who didn't realise he was gay and defended his imagined hetero then bi status. Those lasses that are still fans like him the way women like Graham Norton.

^I think there comes a time in any gay man's life when he needs to stop lying to himself and to everyone else just so a bunch of prejudiced people won't hate him and take control of his life. I'm sure he's happier being true to himself than still lying to the world just to get some sponsors.

so basically you just buy into the stereotype that camp=gay basically such an annoying stereotype, all the gay guys i know are far from it, and its not due to internalized homophobia as some would say lol

But that's just it soo many gay dudes who claim they are not camp, take pride that they are straight acting (bless)etc, really come across as camp, that nobody guessed. Ever since i accidently outted a very effeminate hairdresser thinking it wasnt a secret, I've lost count the number of times I have to politely pretended that I never could guess when it was so obvious.

People always cite singer Frank Ocean and ex rugby star Gareth Thomas as being examples of not being typicaly camp. Really? Frank Ocean uses the word fabulous alot ininterviews and waves his wrist in a limpy manner. Did you see Gareth Thomas on CBB? HE confessed to liking Girls Aloud, preferred to gossip with the girls like Denise and Wag Nicola and danced really gay, even he admitted this. How the heck didnt his wife guess?

That's not relevant, I am saying gay men are camp. Gangster Ronnie Kray was actually camp despite being a boxer and gangland leader. Whether some straight guys are camp is a different issue. Gay men just lack a high level of masculinity that most guys, that why I never wpuld find a gay bloke sexy imho.

Nothing wrong with being camp, but I have never seen a gay bloke and thought "oh wish he was straight", no loss so it's not an issue. But I do think it's hilarious when gay guys think you can't tell or play the 'everyone was shocked'. Dude, we all knew, we're just being polite.

David Walliams is camp but he doesn't come across as homosexual. Tom Daley does. I don't know how to explain it any better but plenty of other people can spot a gay from a mile off. Mannerisms mostly, it's at a subconscious level. It's not that he's camp, he just always came across as very obviously having homosexual leanings.

If Tom Daley had worn pink sequined trunks and spoken with a lisp maybe people would've considered it an act but as it is, he's just a bit of an obvious metrosexual bottom.
