well maybe if we those scum fire up into space, thx to Virgin Galactic (one way ticket to the moon, oh wait not far enough, let them go on the first mars mission to check if that one can indeed be colonized)

Some very valid truths told there stacey.

Imagine if this was the 80s or 90s and the internet was around with all the platforms available for football fans to post on back then..You are spot on about this being blown out of proportion.

Highlighting it the way the media has this time will only stoke further racial tension anyone had in their heads.

also on the bbc

Vandalism that was sprayed on a mural of Marcus Rashford is "not believed to be of a racial nature", say police.

The work in Withington, where Rashford grew up, was defaced after England lost in the Euro 2020 final.

Officers say they have several lines of inquiry and are "keeping an open mind" about the possible motive.

The mural, which was covered in positive messages after the vandalism, has since been restored by street artist Akse.

Greater Manchester Police said officers were examining CCTV from the area and forensic evidence from the spray paint used.

No arrests have been made.

A police spokesperson said: "While the content of the vandalism is not believed to be of a racial nature, officers are keeping an open mind as to the motive behind defacing the artwork."

Supt Richard Timson added: "On Monday morning when we saw the damage done to the mural in Withington we were all left appalled, and we stand with the rest of the community whose solidarity against this vile abuse ever since has really shown the best of our city."

The U.K. has a special brand of anti blackness because they’re in blatant denial about it. At least the states are somewhat aware of their racist institutions and how this perpetuates vitriol and bigotry. This country loves to put itself on a pedalstool while racism and xenophobia here is at an all time high.

The crux of the matter is, 3 players, 2 of which did eff all the whole tournament.took 3 awful penalties.

Southgate, (his name now as everyone's dropped the Gartleth like he was everyone's best friend tag) brought the 2 heaps of **** at taking penalties on, to actually take penalties

Uncle Gareth made a huge blunder, and is now happily deflecting his ginormous **** up by backing the non story of racism taking over.

The abuse those footballers received by a few random brain dead individuals in the final has had a great impact on racism.

It’s only when it gets maximum exposure and people power do those responsible get punished.

Take labour for example.

They had all off prime ministers question time to drill johnson on the latest covid stuff, but they spent most the time pushing this false agenda of boris seemingly leading britain into some sort of nazi germany.

Absolutely ridiculous, to say the least

Twitter says UK 'by far' main origin of racist posts after Euro 2020 final

Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka were abused after missing penalties in England's Euro 2020 final defeat against Italy; Twitter says the UK was 'by far' the largest country of origin for the abusive tweets that were removed

…I’ll do my article as well anyway….

Majority of Euro 2020 racist abuse came from UK accounts and 99% were not anonymous, says Twitter…

Twitter has said that "the UK was - by far - the largest country of origin" for racist abuse sent to England footballers following the team's loss in the Euro 2020 finals on 11 July.

The social media company added that 99% of the accounts which it suspended over the abuse were not anonymous, although it did not disclose how many accounts were suspended.

It follows suggestions by England manager Gareth Southgate that much of the abuse was originating from abroad.

Following the tournament, Southgate described the abuse as "unforgivable" and said: "I know a lot of that has come from abroad. People that track those things have been able to explain that. But not all of it [has come from abroad]."

Twitter's data stands in contrast to that from the UK Football Policing Unit which said that of 207 social media posts deemed to be criminal, 34 came from accounts in Britain and 123 in other countries.

As of 5 August, police had arrested 11 people aged between 18 and 63 in connection with the abuse of England players following the Euro 2020 final in Wembley.

Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka were particularly targeted by racist social media posts after missing penalties against Italy.

Of the people arrested, three live in London and two in Christchurch, Dorset. The others are from Runcorn, Cheshire; Sale, Greater Manchester; Folkestone, Kent; Reading; Shrewsbury and Worcester.

Before the finals, back in April, players and clubs boycotted social media entirely to protest the levels of abuse aimed at people in football.

Two major requests were made of social media platforms, firstly that: "Messages and posts should be filtered and blocked before being sent or posted if they contain racist or discriminatory material."

And secondly that "all users should be subject to an improved verification process that (only if required by law enforcement) allows for accurate identification of the person behind the account".

In a blog post published on Tuesday, Twitter argued "that ID verification would have been unlikely to prevent the abuse from happening".

The company said this was because "the accounts we suspended themselves were not anonymous. Of the permanently suspended accounts from the tournament, 99% of account owners were identifiable."

Twitter said that it removed 1,961 abusive tweets during the final and in the days that followed using automated tools, with just 126 removed following reports from users.

Only 2% of these tweets had generated more than 1,000 impressions - something the company shared as an indication of its efforts to "quickly identify and remove racist, abusive tweets targeting the England team".

Twitter added: "Racist behaviour does not reflect the vast majority of people who use Twitter to participate in vibrant conversations about football in the UK.

"Critically, the word 'proud' was used more often on the day following the final than on any other day this year, as people expressed their support for the England team."

Twitter hates the idea of ID verification as it would reduce traffic on their site, so they are trying to undermine it.

What it would do is it would add more value to people's accounts and make them think twice about what they could post, as it would be easier to ban people without them coming back with a new account.

Well now...
Well that's not a good luck for us as a country, because if we're being honest it's English people that were mainly sending racist tweets to those players and sadly the Media is gonna term it as the UK when it wasn't.

I honestly think this country in general has really lost it's marbles since David Cameron got elected for his first term. And the fact that so many people racially abused three Footballers for missing penalties is just showing what kind of society has been molded by our current Government.
