Exactly. Fern would probably otherwise have just taken it as a compliment, but now that she knows Nikita's nominated her a good few times now, she's probably overthinking and overanalysing everything he says to her.

There is definitely something going on there.
He is off with her for no reason.
I wonder if it is to do with all the games they play on live feed.
She does tend to be the one to get the games sorted and sometimes the other player can be a tad lax at twigging what it’s all about.

I think Fern doesn't meet many young men nowadays, and it's a bit of an unpleasant surprise for her to be thought of as an old fuddy-duddy by a young and good-looking man. That was the vibe I got from that whole interaction.
