We know it all stems from JWB and his feeling that Kathy ruined his life. It all started with the Dagmar bar hence "Dagmar Project".

Everyone looked down on the Dagmar as too hip for the area whereas now it's the type of thing that's overtaken London so that's what they plan to do. Redevelop the whole place.

EastEnders officially begins its new era tonight, with John Yorke's first storylines finally hitting our screens.

Yorke returned to the BBC soap in June, taking charge after Sean O'Connor left the post of executive producer.

Tonight's EastEnders episode sees Yorke credited as Executive Consultant in the closing titles for the first time since his arrival, reflecting how his plots are now starting to come through.

Last Friday's visit to Albert Square was O'Connor's final credited episode as executive producer.

John Yorke's only temporary though... he's not really marking the beginning of a new era unlike DTC. Although because we know it's his first episode perhaps we'll notice the subtleties.
