Default The Sims 3 expansion announced...suprise, suprise

Electronic Arts has announced the forthcoming launch of an expansion pack for The Sims 3 on PC and Mac.

Entitled The Sims 3 World Adventures, the pack will enable players to take their Sims to various "real-world inspired destinations" to explore famous landmarks and take on challenges.

Experiences on offer include a "romantic getaway" in France, learning martial arts in China and exploring the ancient tombs in Egypt.

Anyone who purchases World Adventures will receive 1,000 SimPoints to spend in The Sims 3 store, while EA also plans to release exclusive downloadable content for the pack in the future.

EA's general manager of The Sims Scott Evans said: "We're thrilled with the global success of The Sims 3 over these last few months and are looking forward to expanding on the gameplay experience with one of the most robust expansion packs to The Sims yet."

The Sims 3 World Adventures will be released on November 16. EA Mobile is also developing a version of the content for iPhone and iPod Touch, which will be released in early 2010.

Will most likely be a massive fail, The sims 3 ****, The Sims 2 was outstanding and alot of people and myself were so looking forward to TS3, but when it came out everyone just said "wtf is this?"

Its mad how many people who were looking forward to it have just went back to playing the Sims 2.

Much better and the graphics are **** in TS3

Are you joking? The sims 3 may have bad points, but it's good ones outstand the bad. The customisation of the sims is outstanding, the open planned neighbourhood is a lot better than TS2, the sims have better qualities and effects. Over all, i think it's a lot better than the sims 2.

Expansions are a neccasary part of PC games, consoles have DLC and PC have expansions. I haven't got Sims 3 yet but I don't mind exapansions in the other games sicne they've been good.

Is this the TS3 version of Bon Voyage?

I found in TS3 that the CAS was limited compared to TS2 base game.
