Default BB every 2 years from now on, could that save it?

Anyone agree that a longer break between BB's could help reignite the passion and return it to its EVENT TV glory?

It just needs to change with the times and make it more challenging for the Housemates to endure.

I feel the pain brother, but look what happened to the germans when they OD'd on the BB phenomena and ended up building an entire BB village - it died on its bloated arse!

No however, after BB11 Give it a year break and bring it back with everything everyone loved...

Along with Live feed..

Next year they`ll learn from there mistakes and bring back LF and advertise more.

I really belive the contract will be renewed BB UK is still good it just needs a break or the producers need a kick up the arse.

Its so much better than BB USA so if BB USA can stay then BB UK will stay far longer

yeah. give it a break next summer, bring it back in 2011 - on ITV2 with 24hr live feed running; 1400 until 1700 and 2300 until 0400 on ITV2.

make the show 10 weeks long, put 12 HMs in on launch, bringing 3 newbies in around week 4 and replacing any HM that walks.

get a new team of producers and re-vamp the show with new rules about nominations and a generally different format. also, make BB much stricter.

That should do well! not that it would happen of course :/

I totally support the live feed. But isnt bringing that back just preaching to the converted? I want the gut rumbling excitement back of knowing that Day One is getting closer, like it used to feel. I want the nations passion for it back!

I think a break is maybe needed for people to miss it.

A few years off to think of decent tasks etc.

Then come back with 24/7 live feed and make it last longer, an eviction every two weeks I think...twists every now and again.

Also have nominations as normal, but change the voting to vote to save AND evict. Have two lines for each housemate, one for fans to save, and the other for people who dislike them to evict. Take the evict votes off the save votes to decide who is evicted. We are less likely to lose big characters early on this way.

Strongly agree and details aside that is the right idea.
Big Brother as we know it on C4 needs to wrap it up now. At best they might do some 'All-Star/Celebrity' BB11 and even that might be uncalled for now.

Whether its ITV or anyone else. Let it just take a year off and come back with an entirely new production staff, new presenters, new formats.
I strongly agree with it going back to a more 'purist' BB.
Twelve complete strangers from all walks of life meeting for the first time.
More focus on the original concept of the Orwellian Big Brother and the deeper psychological issues of living under an authority that is monitoring and setting rules 24/7.

But no doubt in my mind the only thing to do now is hand this over to a completely different production company on another channel,
entirely fresh restart and one that might even be back to the future with a reset of rules and restrictions.
and,
I know this is going to freak people out but maybe returning to the concept of a sort of reflection of society. The 'microcosm' and as many 'real people' as possible?

But I do admire the OP for trying to come up with some ideas that might help in the situation as it is.
They care enough to try and think of something.. ..which might be more than the current producers will do.

The only thing that can save BB is to give it back to adults.......Tripple X rate it to be watched only after 10pm and under PIN control. Keep the bloody infantile kids from going any where near it. Too many children watch with the inevitable crass imaturaity voting patterns of killing off story lines and supporting childish imbecility......
