Fact:
Freddy is NOT as clever as he likes to believe he is. Bea was spot on in that one.
However,
I strongly agree that Freddy is clever enough when it came to figuring out how to manipulate the public and did figure out the sympathy angle.
Not at first.
After the fourth time he escaped eviction he started to realize the public was taking out those who picked on him.

He figured it out when new people either hinted or blatantly explained it to him,
and,
he definitely seemed to have it entirely figured out when Bea came in.
I really noticed it then. He had it all sorted out now. The more he is the bullied boy the more he will stay.

I do agree with a lot of what you say - but do feel that, more recently, Freddie has shown a different side to his character than we saw in the earlier shows!

I feel that Freddie is in there for the experience - the experience of getting a taster of how the other half live and to indulge his belief that he is a good judge of human behaviour - giving him a chance to put his 'observations' of human nature (in particular, the other half) in practice - almost like an experiment! I find him very pompous!

I just think the 'other half' are not as stupid as perhaps Freddie may have thought - and dislike him because of his arrogant attitude - and not because of his 'differences'!

Freddie is a very emotionally demanding person - and in an environment like that - would emotionally drain anyone! I can only imagine how many forum members who clearly don't 'suffer fools gladly' would cope with Freddie if they were in the house!!

well put,i do agree quite obviosly freddie has shown a far darker side over the past few weeks,i just dont see that as anything but normal,had i or perhaps you been in the house and we had been kept in week after week,eventually it would go to your head and those who had bullied freddie,people like lisa,kris and to a lesser extent karly,freddie felt he had bragging rights just as they felt they could berate him in the first few weeks.

now while i do see freddie as emotionally demanding i ask myself why is that,the answer?a female of a similar background to freddie waltzes in to the house,having seen how freddie is percieved on the outside then begins to develop a bond with freddie,freddie felt an instant connection as he felt bea understood him while the rest in the house did not..

so when she decided to run hot and cold with him (by which i mean to bitch behind his back,to then cuddle him,then distance herself from him,then cuddle him again and apologise only to distance herself again) so freddie was left in limbo in some sense,so i could see exactly why he is finding this situation with bea a little awkward. as i said before freddie is not whiter than white,however for me bea has not helped matters..

and so now freddie finds himself much alone,and on the defencive..so he could do with a break,perhaps he will get it this friday..

I don't like the way Bea (knowing she was nominated by David, Lisa & Spohie) has now 'dumped' Freddie, Marcus & Siavash & swapped sides 'cos there are more of them!
That said, i do think its time for Freddie to go. He thinks he's untouchable now 'cos he survived the first few evictions.
If Marcus gets back on form - having a laugh, etc. & getting out of that duvet - i think he'll be more entertaining than the Freddie we're seeing now!!!
