Been thinking about this.
Marcus stood out because there were so few others to do so, yes I too wanted him to win.
But there are bits of Marcus thats we have seen before, diary room rants remind me of others but the one overwellming housemate from the past is Maxwell BB6.
Marcus's persuit of Noirin is very much like that of Maxwell and Saskia(punching above his weight)
Even diary room entries were alike.

Been saying this all season. I usually put it this way - he was doing an impersonation of BB9 Rex.. who was himself doing an impersonation or sort of 'mash-up' of Maxwell/Victor/BBUSA Dr.Will sorta thing.
Marcus = low budget impersonation of a second rate impersonator impersonating originals. Not so good.

This should explain my disdain for Marcy too - I don't so much care someone is putting on a 'character/impersonation' act on BB,
but,
At least be 'David Brent' about it (is that a new expression?) but don't then go and ALSO try and take credit for being the 'most real' and then go shlt on everyone else for being guilty of what HE was actually doing - being a bad actor.
Putting on a show.
Don't try and get attention and credit for BOTH the act and 'keepin it real' at the same time. Hate that.
