Default BB12 Confirmed

... at least in the USA

So whilst the back legs of BBUK snap, BBUSA goes from strength to strength and has increased its audience year on year. Just goes to show how much keeping the show fresh does

12 series' and they aren't getting bored yet

Simply put, BB US is a much better show than BB UK.

Tbh 2 years ago (during Series 9 of the US version) BBUSA were in the same position as we are right now, ratings were falling to its lowest ever, and then came BBUSA10 and ratings increased and now during ths 11th series they have increased a little bit more.

So really, it was down to luckiness and competition, USA version completely recovered from the situation, if only that can happen to us!

[rquote=2559142&tid=147314&author=Tom]... at least in the USA

So whilst the back legs of BBUK snap, BBUSA goes from strength to strength and has increased its audience year on year. Just goes to show how much keeping the show fresh does

[/rquote]

One thing worth mentioning here is relative popularity:
BBUK is MASSIVE compared to the size of the UK population,
and,
BBUK and BBLB run 5 days a week. Add Big Mouth.

BBUSA does get huge numbers but relative to their massive population not so big - considering - it plays just 3 hours a week.

But forget all that because I just wanted to say something about that emboldened part in your post:
Just goes to show how much keeping the show fresh does

Okay, yes but actually Big Brother USA rescued itself by RETURNING more to its original look and feel!
As Mazed points out - BBUSA got more and more to a 'Jerry Springer Trash' with more cheap gimmicks until bottoming out in BBUSA 9 - total rubbish. An embarrassment.
Ratings were tanking.
but,
It was when Groedner and co actually listened to hardcore fans and BBUSA 10 went BACK to its roots and RETURNED to a more 'purist' original feel is when it REVIVED and saw its ratings improve.

BBUK may still return and 'revive' but this is why so many hardcore fans have been suggesting it is time for C4 and BB Production to let this 'era' go,
then..
..let someone else pick it up, maybe even let it rest and then return (similar to BBUSA did) but return it to the original look, feel and concept with LESS gimmicks and less chavvy 'summer fukk party' idiocy.

(btw not really disagreeing with your sentiments Tom but had to rant about this because I believe you are right BBUK is dying and I wish it would work again)

Can't be bothered to do a proper edit on the quote ElProx, but agree with that line with passion.

I wish there was 2 seasons per year like in 2008 with BB9 and 10.

I wish they do change the house tho for season 12, it's been the same since season 6.

I think they're two completely different shows. BB USA is imo only Big Brother in name. But another broadcaster has to take a leaf out of their book if BBUK is picked up.

Duly noted you have an animation of Marcy punching a woman in the face as your 'sig'.
That just about says it all about him and you both.

It makes me wonder - why don't they just make that program, title it as such, air it after BB and that way it keeps that demographic happy and keep that stuff out and away from BB itself?
Everyone is happy then.
