Alex Reid is reportedly lined up to appear on the final series of Celebrity Big Brother.

The News of the World claims that the cagefighter, who is dating Katie Price, is in talks with the programme's producers for a £100,000 deal.

A source said: "They're desperate to sign him up. It's perfect for him because people will get to see the real person. Alex has got a bad reputation but he's actually charming and funny. We're convinced that if he does it he'd make it to the final."

However, Price, who is currently appearing on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, is reportedly unhappy about the plans.

"She's already wary about Alex doing the celebrity circuit," an insider claimed. "She thinks people use him because he's with her."

Paul Danan and Boy George have also been linked to the show, which will begin in January.

ALEX Reid is set to appear in Celebrity Big Brother in January. He is about to finalise an agreement with show bosses, believed to be worth around £100,000, to star in the reality programme.

Last night a friend explained: "They're desperate to sign him up. It's perfect for him because people will get to see the real Alex.

"Alex has got a bad reputation but he's actually charming and funny. We're convinced that if he does it he'd make it to the final."


However, there are doubts about whether lover Katie Price would approve.


Our insider explained: "She's already wary about Alex doing the celebrity circuit. She thinks people use him because he's with her."


The January series of Celeb BB will be the last. Boy George is also in negotiations to appear.
