Speak for somebody else. I'm not regretting anything because I know exactly what I am doing to myself. I will have, at the end of the day, smoked and enjoyed smoking more years of my life than I have lost due to the habit, so it's a win for me. I want to smoke. There's no particular reason, I just ... like ... smoking. I'm here for a fun life where I get to do what I want to do without the consequences of restraint or worry, not a long life.

I don't smoke but tbh I don't really mind if others do. It's their choice.

Yes I smoked for a few years when I was very young. Luckily I stopped.

Silk Cut was 42p but it was very expensive for me even then.
I was having very busy life and often thought I would smoke when I had more time.

One day I saw my ashtray was empty, then I realised I did not smoke previous day. Then eventually lost the habit. Lucky case I think.

Nope hate it, parents smoke though.

Mum stopped when pregnant both times,
but friends got her smoking soon after.
Dad has tried but failed lol.

What's that got to do with the age group who smoke? Sure kids smoke because it's 'cool' or whatever but so do adults, so you don't really have a point. Debate smoking like a grown up instead of making pointless patronizing jabs for god's sake.

Point 1 gave me a chuckle though. You reckon the crap names are made to appeal to kids? Would you like to see an assorted range of colored filters in all major brands and change the names of brands like ''John Player'' to ''Jack Da Clown''?

You reckon that would make it more adult?

I don't get the anti-smoking brigade at all.

They are all on the same effing high horse as the anti-drugs brigade.

The truth. It's nice to hear such things lol Sometimes us (smokers), we feel like we're worse than murders or paedophiles...what the hell people ?

Well, since I used to be a smoker, I know how it feels to be judged for your choices.

It's really nice to see that they care so much about my health, because it really is all about the health of strangers they are concerned about, as opposed to - say - making themselves feel better about their lives.

I never really bought the idea of spending your entire current life simply trying to make it longer. How bankrupt an idea is that? Any extra years your going to add to your life will have been more than outnumbered anyway by the sheer amount of hours you were fretting over your health when others were living it up! Simple maths!

I concur.

I wouldn't swap the few years I spent trollied for a for twice as many years clean-living.
