HARD-UP Kerry Katona snubbed a staggering £200,000 to appear on Celebrity Big Brother because she is worried she will crack up on TV.



The troubled mum of four, who has racked up crippling debts and faces eviction from her £1.5million home because she can’t afford the mortgage, was thrilled with Channel 4 chiefs’ tempting offer.



After Boy George, 48, was banned from going on their show by a High Court earlier this week, they asked the I’m A Celebrity... winner, 29, to take his place.



Kerry – who has also battled with drugs, watched her lucrative advertising and TV career go down the pan and suffers bipolar disorder – thought this would be an end to her money woes.




But after mulling over the last- minute offer, the star decided that being on Big Brother could cause her to have a nervous breakdown and now she’s rejected it.



A source told us: “Kerry could have cleared so many debts with this but pals warned her the show loves to mess with people’s minds and can cause meltdowns. Look at Les Dennis and Vanessa Feltz.



“They also thought that she may become a hate target. And as she is fragile she could break down.”



Kerry’s agent confirmed: “She was offered the chance to do it but has not accepted it.”



Among the stars tipped to join the show on Sunday January 3 are Jordan’s ex Dane Bowers, 30, exHollywood madam Heidi Fleiss, 43, Ivana Trump, 60, and Pamela Anderson, 42.
