That's why it is what it is.

Vote to save would completely ruin the show.

The same characters would dominate from start to finish and we wouldn't get any dynamic changes in the house, or anyone stepping up to be the new hate figure.

It would also mean other housemates won't get the chance to come out of their shell and we won't see much of what we think are quieter housemats.

Every eviction would be boring because it would be someone boring getting evicted. We'd have no more 'Sezar' or 'Grace' moments. Evictions would be full of Hiras and it completely takes the point away. Then it means we'd get no filler housemates in the final so people deserving of a full interview would get about 5 minutes on finale night.

And thats all away from the fact BB is a show built around hate, so voting to save them defeats the whole purpose.

I've nothing against a cull the dull vote maybe around week 7 or 8 with a double eviction resulting from it but reverting to vote to save will NEVER work. Ever.

I get what you mean, but IMO a vote to save would be best. Look what happened to last years summer series BB10, teh vote to save was the best thing to do. As much as i didnt like Bea, she was very entertaining... and out of all the HMs Hira went in the vote to stay because she was least memberable... Bea stayed in. It proves that vote to save and vote to evict is completely different. In a vote to evict Hira would have had the least votes and would have been safe.

HMS were shocked because they thought she was hated after that when in fact she just didnt have many fans willing to save her.

that only worked because of how near to the end of BB10 it was

Fair point.
Maybe after Week 9... so the final 4 weeks (3 excluding the Win votes), they should change to Save.

Week 1-9 (Evict)
Week 10-12 (Save)
Week 13 (Win.... same as Save)

Would that be a good idea?

I however do feel that on Week 4 we should have a Vote to Save to get rid of 1 or 2 deadwood characters.

HM's should be forced to take to the stage infront of other HMs and talk for 1 min on why they should be saved. This should be a weekly task.

Imagine the undercover bitching this would cause.

I think a vote to save in week 4, one with a double eviction in week 8 and a final one in week 12 would solve the problem

I'm sure they've done something similar in the past on eviction shows (when they used to do more than show highlights and have Davina reading the number out with the crowd booing/cheering to each houseamte)

Or on the actual final night, go in the DR and do a plea infront of the public and the crowd to make them win... they did this in BB2 I rememebr Helen and Brian in the DR talking while the crowd was there cheering them both through their speeches on the night.
