Default Leona Lewis "I Got You" C list for Radio 1

Why is it in the C List. To be honest it should definately be in the B list, "Happy flopped" Yet it still managed to reach #2. Therefore it still did well, This is pathetic being in the C List. Whislt JLS are in the A list..

Has it only just begun receiving airplay?

The songs in the playlist are ranked in order of the most popular and most played songs at the current time. A song usually begins it's journey in the 'C Playlist', and works its way up as it becomes more popular and recognisable.

No problem.

'One Shot' by JLS started out in the 'C List' not long ago IIRC, and now it's at the top because it's more popular and nearing it's official release.

Them lists are so bias and sexist. Spice Girls were snubbed off the play lists in 2007 and Madonna's Celebration wasnt even alowed to be on radio 1's playlist (Was on B list radio 2). cos of how bias Radio 1 is.

They're biased towards a particular age demographic, yes. They have to cater for the majority audience, whilst still including a variety of music. I'm not too clued up on how popular and how well those songs sold, but if they weren't very popular, they wouldn't have been added to the playlist.

I know that the majority have to be catered for yes.

Celeration album reaching number 1 and single number 3 was a big up yours (Not you Jack_) to Warner and all the haters who said that she is too old to sell records anymore. Her company had treated her rotten with hardly any Celebration / Haed Candy promo at all. Think again haters.

Fair enough. I would imagine it was down to the bad promotion, then.

Yeah. Your favourite arsists didn't not making the cut has everything to do with the BBC having a sexist agenda.

Both the music and the DJ's are far superior to most commercial radio stations nowadays, especially Galaxy.

Yeah, but it's a hell of a lot more varied than most commerical radio stations that cater for the same audience. Just compare the two playlists:

RADIO 1: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/playlist/

GALAXY: http://www.galaxysouthcoast.co.uk/playlist-2007

But fair enough, if you don't like current music then that's that.

I despise Galaxy but that's what they specialise in, it's all dance/R'n'B/Hip Hop because that's what Galaxy's about. It's like saying Kerrang's limited because it only plays rock music.

A better comparision would be Radio 1 and BRMB Radio or something.

Radio 1's rubbish anyway, it caters too much to a young demographic and loads the airwaves with sh*t like JLS, Jason Derulo and all that crap. If I listen to the radio it's always Radio 2, that's a bit more acceptable.

I think everyone has realised that Leona does not rule the music world (thank ****) and that her voice is not the best thing on the planet.

And as for this song, it's 'Happy' jumbled up.
