Default Corrie Lesbian Plot, Will Suprise Viewers

Coronation Street viewers will get a shock when self-centred Rosie Webster stands by her sister in her new lesbian romance.

Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent) is set to fall for pal Sian Power (Sacha Parkinson) in an upcoming plotline.

Helen Flanagan, who plays Sophie's brattish big sister Rosie, told the Sun: "You'll be surprised at how she reacts - she will stand by Sophie. When you love your sister, you support her."

Meanwhile, Brooke has told how the storyline is "cleverly done".

"It's going to be implicit, not explicit, and we want that to come across. It's emotional and more about the feelings," she said.

She said she was pleased she'll be acting out the plot alongside Sian, as the pair are good friends in real life.

"Sacha and I were friends long before Corrie and I'm so glad it's her. We've been to drama school together and known each other since we were six or seven," she added.
