Default Avatar DVD not in 3D

This is so wrong
he made Billions on this movie
and could have also done nornal 3-D for DVD and BluRay.

To watch this Film at home you would need a New 3-D LCD TV
at £2,000.
And a New 3-D Bluray Player.

This Stinks
that film is good in 3-D
but you have to see it at a Imax etc.

I saw it in 3d... it is not much difference to 2d.. because nothing really jumped out at me.. but 3d was a better picture. I don't mind anyways I will just get the 2d version.. when it is cheap! lol

The Imax 3-D
is best.

It does not need to Jump at you.

This DVD and BluRay
and shoulfd have been done is 3-D Normal
he could afford that.

You can still watch it without 3-D on those Discs.

There's no point in a 3d version yet, there's not enough 3d Televisions installed to warrant the DVD. Once they become the norm a 3D version will be brought out. Anyone who bought the DVD thinking it was in 3D should have checked the back first to make sure. It's only your own fault.

'Normal 3D' is terrible and would only diminish the quality of the film, I applaud them for not slapping on a 3D label and only using 'normal 3D' because that would have been greedy. Try watching previous 3D films at home like Final Destination 4 or My Bloody Valentine, the home version of the 3D tech in those films are very basic and old but they were only put on the DVD to grab more money.

When 3D TV's become more popular and have a high installation number, that's when we'll see a true 3D Avatar. It doesn't make sense to do it at the moment though.

"Normal 3D' is terrible"

Rubbish I have the BluRay 'My Bloody Valentine'
in 3D 1080P And 5.1 DTS sound
it is Fab.

You do not know what you are on about.

And Avatar will be on SKYHD 3-D channel
for those with the new TVs.

I loved the film anyway, the 3D bit was just an added bonus so I'll be buying it anyhow

It is a bit gutting that there won't be a 3D version released, but as i don't own a 3D tv then i spose it's pointless..lol.

I was also miffed that there isn't a proper 2 Disc version of it released, however i have heard that there is going to be a 4 Disc box set released in November which will contain LOADS of extras including the making of it. On that basis i think i will hold out until November before buying it.

I saw Avatar in the cinema, and it was fantastic. The 3D in the film immersed you into Pandora which added that other dimension to the film. 3D films don't always need to have things jumping out of the screen, giving you mini heart attacks when you think a great boulder is about to turn you into a smoothie.
Avatar 3D was great because of the visual that the film needed to make it truly come to life.

Unfortunately we didn't get to see it in 3D because our local cinema doesn't do 3D but would have really liked to have experienced the whole 3D thing.

You Do not Have to a 3D TV

I have a 1080p Sony LCD
it plays 3-D BluRays fine.

Of Course Avatar has to be put into normal 3-D
and the money they have
that is easy.
