Default BB DVD and burning files to disc advice!

Just thought i'd start this thread as a few of you have been U2Uing me about my BB DVD collection. I know a lot of you might be getting some from that user that was providing you with DVDs, but i've been going through some of you messages and i'm realising that the majority of you just don't know how to burn DVDs.

If you have files on your website you can burn them to DVDs easily, i do it with files on the internet too. One advantage i have with my DVD player is that it plays DivX files, and a site called "Stagevu" has most of the BBUK series and is "working with" DivX, so when you download them, they're DivX files.

So let me start off with the downloading advice. Depending on your DVD player and the discs you have, you can usually fit at least 2 hours on a DVD, now that's not a lot, but what can you do lol. If you're interested in downloading BB7; here's the launch night link: http://stagevu.com/video/gqwepillyocl
Once that's downloaded, you go to "Start" and click "Search". Search for something named "Windows DVD Creator", it should appear, click on it and you can add the files to that. It'll tell you how much space is left, if you have 45 minutes left, you can add Day 1 highlights (which can be found on that site, in fact the whole of BB7 is on that site). Once the space is used up, just simply click "burn" and it'll burn in onto a disc for you . It's a slow progress, believe me, it takes a while and considering the size of BB series, you'll have quite a few discs taken up. I took up 6 DVD cases (which can hold 6 discs each) with my BB7 DVDs, it was even more with BB10; it was 8.

If your DVD player can play DivX files (it might be better for you to check) then you've got an easier time of burning DVDs. You download about 3 weeks of the series you're after and add them to the burn list using DivX player, you can add lots of files to discs that are about 4GB, i've got the whole of CBB5 on two discs because i added them all as files instead. With this, simply press burn and you'll have at least 3 weeks of BB highlights (and evictions) on one disc.

Sometime this year, i will offer to create the discs for you and send them to you, it's just i've not got the time (or money LOL) to go into it right now. I'm currently downloading BB9 and i'm more or less halfway through now.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask
