As the latest RAJAR figures for Quarter 1 are released, they reveal that:

- Chris Evans has achieved weekly listening figures of 9.53m, up over 1m more than Terry Wogan had.
- BBC Radio 2 also increased it's weekly reach to 14.57m [17.2% share of total audience], up from 13.47m the previous quarter.
- Axe-threatened station, BBC 6Music, has increased its weekly reach to a record 1.02m listeners, up from 695,000 the previous quarter.
- BBC Radio 1 attracted 11.74m listeners per week, up from 10.76m in the previous quarter.
- BBC Radio 1 also pulled in its biggest quarterly share of the 15-24 year old audience in the last 8 years.
- The Chris Moyles Show reached a record 7.88m listeners per week, up from 7.24m last quarter, and 7.7m at the same time last year.
- The new Radio 1 daytime line-up appears to be working, as Dev, Fearne Cotton, Greg James and Scott Mills all increase their listening figures.
- Greg James is up by 500,000, and Fearne Cotton is up by 250,000. The others are unknown.
- The BBC Asian Network, also facing the axe, reached just 357,000 listeners weekly, down from 360,000 last quarter, and 405,000 last year.
- Overall, the BBC continued to dominate the radio listening figures, with a 56.5% share of the total audience.
