From Narinder's book I note that Kate Lawler was told she was selected as a Housemate on her birthday (May 7th) and the show lunched on May 24th (17 days later).

Victor was told on 6th May for a series that started on 28th May (22 days later).

Richard was told 3 days before he had to go into seclusion.

Yeah, and the 5 or so that don't go in launch night are lined up as replacements to potentially be brought in later.
