I found it interesting that Dave started off one of his stories by saying his friends had ministries that brought in 'hundreds of thousands of pounds yearly' as a way of validing them as 'real' sources.

Instead of Andrew trying to explain away Dave's delusions, he should just ask the charlatan to prove it. Dave is the one making the extraordinary claims so he needs to provide extraordinary evidence to prove it!
All he ever does is say he had a friend that did this or that or that he did this or that. Anecdotal stories mean nothing.

David is not a 'charlatan' (see other topics) but sadly he actually believes he has seen or been provided evidence of these things.
David is not making money from all this nonsense.. you could make as much or more as an Insurance Salesman or nearly anything else.

I am happy someone is clearly explaining to him why these things are not happening. I do find its the best way to deal with these types.
