Default A slip of the tongue?

In another tedious conversation with Josie todaytaken from DS website)
http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/bigbroth...hanged-me.html

John James credited his friend Josie with "changing" him this evening, during a frank discussion in the nest.

After the Bristolian explained that she still can't get over how nice John James was in the wake of her admission that she had "strong feelings" for him, he admitted that he was baffled by her comments as there was no other way for him to approach the situation.

When Josie replied that he could well have told her she was a "stupid cow" for falling for him, he laughed and asked her: "What sort of people do you hang around with?!"

He continued: "You've changed me in a way because you've made me, like... I don't know. It feels good to care about someone rather than just caring about the programme and stepping over people to get as far as possible... it's made me care about something more."

So there you have it, in his own words folks.

A lot of gameplay going on, i don't think it was JJs intention to get it on with Josie, rather he thought she was a comfort zone but i think he underestimated her, people are protecting their own interests and then finding there can be consequences of doing this. You can't be that close to someone though without having feelings for them, it can't be done, he has fallen on his own sword. He used her and now she has trapped him.

It's nice...they seem to have created a genuine relationship....it wont do JJ any harm at all to have something to care about in there....caring about someone makes you examine your treatment of people, it makes you want to be a better person, it makes you want to do nice stuff for them.

She brings the best out in him....he brings the worst out in her

The slip of the tongue I'm referring to is the underlined bit in bold, where he implies he has been just caring about the programme and stepping over people to get as far as possible

its a game show knowbody went in there to "make friends" everyone will step on everyone to get further in the show JJ was saying that his friendship with Josie now means more to him than the show! So he admitted he'd do whatever it takes to get as far as he can..... its a game.... at least he admitted it!

And? It's a gameshow at the end of the day. But it's nice that he has developed a strong bond with someone to allow him to ditch that initial idea.

He just means howhis perspective changes.

We all watch the show and may laugh when people are uncomfortable nominating. He probably watched the show and thought god I could do that. Easy, what's all the fuss about just play the game.
And then when you're actually in there and spend 24/7 with the other people you form relationships and realise it's not as easy as it is from the viewers perspective.

Exactly. His plan was to have arguments with people as he said he does all the time on web forums. He said that in his interview he said he would be argumentative.

He has never let up trying to bring Ben down, unfortunately Benn turns him on his head.

He picks someone every week so it will be interesting to see who he starts on. He wont let go of the fact that not every housemate jumped on the bed to surround Keeley. How many hands could you get on her foot?

He thinks he comes across as intelligent as he says he never loses an argument.
Last night he told Josie he has never let anyone overtake him when he is driving. Even Josie thought that was ridiculous.
This is the man who criticises others for being competitive.

Let's face it, he didn't fly 12,000 miles just for the fun of it... he knows EXACTLY what he's doing and how he's playing the game and let's face it, even if you don't like the guy, just look at the polls... it's working!!!

It just makes me laugh how his supporters do an about turn:

From

"JJ is the only real one, he's being totally himself, he's not fake, blah blah blah"

to
"It's a game show - he's big enough to admit it blah blah"

Of course it's a bloody game show and we all know that every single one of the HMs are playing to win. But JJ is the one who bangs on about everyone else being "fake", not having a game plan, being the only "real" person in he house blah blah blah. He has watched all the BBs, he knows what works and what doesn't.

Ben is not fooled by his "I'm not a fake" routine and JJ will have to find a new target soon since he won't be able to rely on not being challenged by Ben on his hypocrisy.

Its nice, I've no doubt John James didn't have any intention to fall for anyone in their, and if he did he probably wouldn't have chosen Josie, he might have started bumming around with her because shes not his type, all of a sudden though he has developed feelings for her.

Like someone else said, she brings the best out in him, caring about someone in the house is another way to survive, and thats not playing the game thats life, if you care about someone and they want you to care about them you become a better man, you want to protect them, you want to make them feel safe and want them to feel good about themselves.

Doing this will make his days go in better but it will do him no harm long term either, he needed to learn how to care about someone and he has done
