No chance of getting to #1 with his second single now because The X Factor charity song is released on the same day
![]() He is up against Black Eyed Peas, N Dubz, Duffy, with his album aswell. Leona & Paul Weller have CD-Dvd's coming out the same week but I dunno if that can chart on the albums chart? |

No. His album will do better than Joe's and he'll probably still get #2 with his single cos he'll perform it on X Factor.

His song is excellent and will at least get to number 2. No problem there if op against the charity single. His record company are so far very happy with his performance.

Comparing Olly to Joe so far (ignoring the winners single because that's off the back of winning X Factor):
Olly - Please Don't Let Me Go - Charted at #1 without an X Factor performance, 9 weeks inside the top 40, is currently at #45 in its 10th week. The b-side to the single also made the Top 100. Joe - Ambitions - Charted at #6 after a performance on X Factor, dropped out of the Top 20 in its second week on the chart, dropped out of the top 40 after 3 weeks on the chart. Is currently at #47 in its 4th week (lower than Olly's single which was released 6 weeks earlier). Joe - Wide Awake (Album) - Charted at #3 in its first week with low sales compared to other winners, fell to #20 in its second week. Joe's next single is out 6th December and will be up against Kings of Leon, Kylie Minogue, Nelly Furtado and Usher. Last edited by Locke.; 09-11-2010 at 08:45 AM. |

I've not really warmed to Olly's music; it's like Robbie Williams, Will Young and Paolo Nutini put a half assed effort song together and that's what Olly's stuff sounds like to me... I liked him on the show though, so I'm glad he's done well so far, hope his success continues!

Nothing to do with the fact the song is complete and utter tripe then?

He doesn't deserve it really, it's outdated music that's devoid of individuality and could have been recorded by anyone and it wouldn't sound different. Absolute rubbish.
