I blame Ofcom. BB started off as pioneering and desensitised but after too many complaints it tried to appeal to everyone or not cause offence from the modern day Mary Whitehouses.

If you watch the BB Uncut DVDs you can tell it became tamer pretty early on, whether that's the editor's decision or the self-awareness of the HMs is debateable but BB Uncut 1 had the naked clay paintings, Craig's penis and Nichola naked and everything, whereas BB Uncut 2 had Amma shaving her pubes, Penny's towel drop, various bits of nudity and even a montage of sex in the BBs from other countries lol. Then BB Uncut 3 only really had Jonny skinny dipping and Jade flashing in the bath tub so it was rated 15, and then came the BB4 DVD where there was nothing to really cut in the first place thus it wasn't 'Big Brother Uncut 4' but 'Big Brother: The Offical 2003 DVD' lol
