I far prefer Christmas...... I just get the feeling that there is something lovely about it, the magic that's created for the kiddies, the surprise gifts, thinking what you can get for who, .... but never been a fan of New Year and it really doesn't have any special meaning for me apart from having to get used to writing a new date! It's all a bit of a no mark for me.
some of my friends are completely the opposite - they can't wait to get Christmas over and done with and have massive parties to 'see the bells' in and the tallest, dark haired guy inevitably gets thrown outside holding the obligatory bit of coal, bun and a bottle to first foot. I know it's Scottish tradition but I'm just soooooo not into it. What do you prefer and why? |

Christmas, without a doubt!
I've always celebrated NY but just associate it with a massive New Years Day hangover whereas Christmas means family, magic and kids to me. DOn't get me wrong I've had a few unforgettable Hogmanys but it's just not as enjoyable or magical as xmas ![]()
