I'm texting this really hot girl that I've known for a while and she was like:

'omg it's been years lol how have you been? x'

and I was like:

'ikr, meh I've been okay up and down, fine one minute and then pissed the next lol you? Btw is it snowing in Liverpool? '

and then she writes back there now:

'Yeah its getting thick lol What's up?'

What do you reckon she means 'What's up' as in 'What you doing?' or 'Why did you feel like that?'

Think she means whats up as in whats up. But the 'lol' suggests she is merely making convo and doesn't really care that much lol

Just checked there now, she didn't write lol next to 'It's really thick'

Not sure why I wrote lol, I think it's because 'It's really thick' sounds kind of dirty so I laughed.

Grow a pair and say what you want to say or ask her yourself what she means. Or you could be honest and say you ran to a Big Brother forum to ask them their opinion. I'm sure she would love a guy like that.
