Question Xbox 360's Problem With Playing AVI Files. [Anyone know any Converter Programs?]
Xbox only plays WMV files for some stupid reason.

So how would I be able to get the stupid thing to play AVI Files?
Or a better question, does anyone know any programs that can convert AVI to WMV?

Any good conversion programs?

Most of them are all bollocks and say they're free, you download them and they're sh*te and expire in 2 days and then ask you for 30 'Dollars' to use it.



So does anyone know any good ones that'd let me convert AVI to WMV?
Or does anyone here with an Xbox know any tricks or tips on how to get the ***** to play AVIs?

Download the free(basic) version of RealPlayer, think its version 14. something. It contains a converter in the bundle, allows you to convert

I thought the Xbox was updated to play AVI awhile ago? Is your box hooked up to the broadband?

PS3 needs no such updates of course. But who needs AVI when you have glorious Blu Ray.

XBox 360 can play AVI.
It was updated nearly two years ago. :S
It plays HD AVI aswell and X.264 MP4 HD files.
