It's tomorrows. Remember what date it is tomorrow. April 1st... aprils fools day... However, that front page plus the Guardian report today, and then on top of that the Cheryl Cole hosting article in the Star is all making me very curious. Is it really back for good this time? Who knows |

Is anyone else feeling like they don't want Big Brother to return a year after C4's 'Big Send Off'?

BIG Brother is to return to our screens this summer, bigger, brighter, sexier and more outrageous than ever. And for the first time viewers will get the chance to decide which housemates actually enter as contestants. That could see the likes of Jenny Thompson, who claimed England ace Wayne Rooney, 25, enjoyed £1,000-a-time romps with her, starring alongside his model cousin Natalie, 20. Other possible housemates could include The Only Way Is Essex’s Faiers sisters Sam, 20 and Billie, 21, and outspoken football pundit Andy Gray, 55. The revamped spy-on-the-wall hit will include all the favourite items plus hot new features. There will be a split screen so fans can choose which celeb they follow. The 24-hour feed will return so viewers can see housemates round the clock and there will be a huge new pool and sauna. A celebrity show will be followed by a version with “ordinary” housemates. Bosses have already made a £5million bid to tempt Cheryl Cole, 27, into the hosting role made famous by Davina McCall, 43. If she cannot be tempted from US X Factor, another name in the frame is Big Brother’s Little Brother host Emma Willis, 35. A source said: “With the weather set to be scorching the show will have some sizzling action.”

If it came back I would want Emma to take over. She loves Big Brother and isn't full of herself like jumped up fame hungry Cheryl Cole.

Is a BB on 5 thread in a forum specifically for BB on 5 necessary? Why keep things to one thread when this forum is exists so there can be dozens of threads on the matter?

They will probably mention this story on tomorrow's Wright Stuff (on C5 but not made by them) but I doubt we'll see an official confirmation (presuming this has some truth to it and is not just the daily star making stuff up independently of it's new sister company) just yet, there again, three articles in two days from N&S's flagship tabloid? Might get something tomorrow afternoon, guess we'll have to wait and see.

Well no but thought it might be good to have a thread to post little stories & speculation that you wouldn't wanna make a new thread for (like it says in the first post)

I'd say the first two articles listed in the OP are thread worthy (even if the daily star aren't remotely reliable, their owner is the owner of C5). It's all speculation at this point.

They are, I wasn't referring to those as small stories but yeah when we've got so little news to go on any news is worth its own thread I suppose.. pointless thread

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/bigbroth...mer-on-c5.html Big Brother will definitely return on Channel 5 this summer, according to reports. The Daily Star Sunday has claimed that Channel 5 will sign a five-year deal with Endemol in the next few days. As previously rumoured, the show will return with a four-week Celebrity run in August, immediately followed by a regular series in September. Among the celebrities being considered for the summer stint are ex-Harrods boss Mohamed Al-Fayed, The Only Way Is Essex star Amy Childs and The Wanted singer Max George. Meanwhile, Charlie Sheen will apparently be offered a "big-money" deal. Joanna Lumley, Peaches Geldof, Prince Harry's ex Chelsy Davy, Abbey Clancy and Tinie Tempah are also said to be on the producers' wishlist. Additonally, controversial football pundit Andy Gray, Home and Away actress Samara Weaving and boxer Ricky Hatton could be offered deals to take part in the reality show. "We are giving television fans exactly what they wanted - Big Brother back on our screens this summer," a source said. "The deal will be signed over the next couple of days but everything has been agreed. It's a really exciting time for Channel 5 and everyone is determined to make this new era of Big Brother the best yet. Renovation work has already started on the house, which will be similar to those in previous series but with additional improvements, the report adds. "It will still have things like the Diary Room. The show's format will also stay the same so fans don't have to worry. It will still be the same programme that they've all grown to love over the years but with a bigger, brighter and sexier future. "It's going to have a bit of a revamp with some new features but all the favourite items will be back, including the 24-hour live feed." It was recently reported that Cheryl Cole could be offered a £5m deal to host the show. |
