Default Idea for bans

Just got this idea from the other thread regarding making a 'private section'. I just wondered if it would be worth trying a new system of 'post-ban' to try and actively force members into altering there posting habits.

Say for example, Vicky, was a member who was always causing arguments in The Asylum and such similar threads. She often attacks ANY post UKTurtle makes and is known to just constantly post Harry Potter gifs in threads Harry makes about removing his genital warts. Basically, Vicky is a member that contributes little discussion/real content.

Eventually, say, she is banned for a week or however long you would ban her normally. Then, upon return she has one week 'post ban' where she can only post in certain areas of the forum - for example, TV Chat, Music, Serious Debates and Big Brother - trying to exclude her from the chat side of the forum. Hopefully, then Vicky will get into the habit more contributing for worthwhile content.

Obviously, this would have its flaws. I guess Vicky could just do the same in the serious debates area, and it wouldn't work for all types of members as everyone is banned for breaking different rules. However, I think it's more likely to get members to change there posting habits rather than just a ban. Or do you think it's basically forcing people to discuss stuff they don't care about?
