Having a drunken convo with Niamh, we were on about if drinking totally changes you.
With me, yeah sometimes I'll say my true feelings. But sometimes I think WTF and when people tell me what I did or said on nights out I think, is that me?

I just laugh at everything, which is really awkward when something bad happens

I havn't drank alcohol since last February where I was just tipsy. But yeah.. it's a control thing too. I like to be in control of my own life. But sometimes it's nice not to be too uptight and loosen up! But lots of things can loosen you up besides "alcohol". If I want a drink... I will have a drink. Not if people tell me I should have one.. |

Im not sure. Its cant be the real you, since different types of alcohol make you act differently :/

It knocks down barriers but it depends what barriers you have up. Plus it depends how much you have. A little relaxes you.
Ive answered this question before here. Like I said, the defences and barriers you have up are part of the real you. Its what you've chosen to protect about yourself as a form of defence. So taking them down is not necessarily the real you. |

I don't drink much. But usually when I do.. I am more confident with people. And will talk to people I don't usually talk to! lol
I prefer just having a laugh and being tipsy. Rather than being a drunk skunk!! |

Surely the 'real' you is you without any stimulants (and all that blah)
I do become more confident after a drink. That said, I always slow down once I get the feeling that I'm out of control as I hate that |

I'm just a more exaggerated version of myself, though I say a lot of things I would never say while sober(though that's probably true for most people).

I think it reveals the real you but then if you drink enough can also change you.
The thing is yourself is also what you withhold within yourself and don't say out loud so if alcohol makes you say things you wouldn't when your sober surely that is changing you? I say everything I think when I'm drunk.

After a fair amount of alcohol I just go sleepy, but I never drink to excess, I like to know what I'm doing and saying.
