it's like a fruit-cake with brandy, icing (usually marzipan i think) and some other stuff... women of a certain age bake them. I can't stand it (mostly because of marzipan )

I have a christmas pudding in the cupboard, it shall be staying there until this christmas.

These things last about 4 years.
