FAMOUS faces will be treated to the “most exuberant experience ever” when they enter the Big Brother house on August 18.
The celebrity show will launch live on Channel 5 from 9pm, hosted by former star of the programme, Brian Dowling, followed by a sister show hosted by presenter Emma Willis.
The channel is still in negotiations to secure big names such as Pamela Anderson and Charlie Sheen with Jedward, Amy Childs and Natasha Giggs also in the frame.
Emma, 35, who is to front the spin-off series Big Brother’s Bit On The Side, has said she is desperate for Sheen to say yes.
She said: “I’ve heard the rumours about Charlie Sheen and he would be dynamite.”
So if Big Brother was an austere experience for many stars in the past, show insiders are now insisting that this year’s house will be “pure luxury”.
“This is going to be a house that viewers and housemates have never encountered before,” said a source.
“Think of the most exuberant experience ever, with luxury goods and furnishings.
“It’s a house that is being built as a real home-from-home for those who are used to the finer things in life and it’s going to be pure luxury.
“It is being especially designed to encourage good times.”
Set designers for the house, which is being built at Elstree studios, are said to have been inspired by the decadent lives of the ancient Greeks and Romans.
“It’s a house in the lap of luxury – a house of the gods,” said the source. But, like all series of Big Brother, there will be “a major twist and not everything is as it seems from the inside looking out”, added the source

I have a feeling this is just an excuse to make it really cheap and tacky. Probably nasty plastic roman columns etc if anything.

The BB11 house had a few features that would fit with this theme like the diary room chair and the clouds on the wall next to the front door. That house was well made and looked good but I doubt this one will be as expensive looking.

Come on guys, we don't know it'll be that bad. They've already upgraded all the camera equiptment to HD which would have cost a huge amount - for all we know they could have spent loads on the house as well.

im not getting caught up in the fuss about the house ect
im just glad its back and i hope channel 5 do great in the ratings
2.5-3.5 million would be amazing for them! considering 2.5 the other day was supposed to be amazing for them with the fight and cricket.

I bet everything is amazing, and you guys are all worried.

Can we please not get 'caught up' in all that ratings bull, until at least the launch?

And just get excited about the house?
