Default PM's

Hi Admins,

Is there anything we can do about members participating in the games section sending mass spam PM's to other members asking "can you vote for me in this" or "can you help me with my game".

It is simply just spam, and something the majority of members i should imagine don't want, especially the ones that just join for BB season and couldn't care less about the games in the forum.

I'm not usually one to make a fuss about things like this, and i've recieved the odd PM in the past and just deleted it, but now they are coming through multiple times a day and enough is enough!

It wouldn't be acceptable if it was being done in a thread as it's "spamming" and would end up in a ban and I think that the same action should be taken against members spamming via PM.

Many Thanks for your time.

it's okay to post nonsense in every forum so you have every last post in each subforum though isn't it

I think the help from the forum members is fine. But as long as they kinda are interested. There are definitely some people on this forum that don't want to be approached and if you're one of them you should just replying saying 'no thank you' and then delete the PM and move on or just completely ignore it. If somebody then goes on to pester you then report the PM and a MOD will deal with the situation.

Honestly I don't see what the fuss is all about.

Personally I absoloutely despise the whole idea but it took me several seconds to ignore annoying PM's. It took Rob several minutes to put this post together. And again the irony of who it is doing the complaining isin't lost on anyone.

Same here and Rob you're exaggerating, it's not like your being inundated with PMs every few minutes, they're very easy to ignore

I can't see the problem really, we are all forum members if we cannot ask each other for help on something whether its a problem or to participate or vote in a game then fine.

You just have to refuse or even ignore any requests but it's hardly a large time consuming issue anyway.
