Yeah, he's up there.
I saw him live earlier this year, highly recommend you buy his next DVD, it's hilarious.

Nice, will check it out. Milton Jones is hilarious too, but I think he tries a little too hard sometimes.

Michael McCintyre. Sounds very cliche and obvious but I've never been so close to weeing myself in my life than when I watched his live at the apollo with Jo Brand.

Bill Hicks, Bill Bailey and Billy Connolly. All Bills. Not that it means anything. I like Stewart Lee, Brendon Burns and Ed Byrne too to a lesser extent.
Can't stand virtually every comedian on the telly nowadays. There's the Welsh bloke who talks about being Welsh and how his Welsh, Lee Evans whose entire routine is based around the line 'y'know my wife? ...', Frankie Boyle whose totally been exposed by now as an old tire full of 'how rude can I be for no reason?' one liners and Michael McIntyre who literally deserves to be beaten to death. For some reason political comedy has gone completely out the window and everyone has lowered there standards. Hasn't Kevin Bridges made it fairly big now? I mean Kevin Bridges? Entirely unspectacular. I won't even get into Whitehall. I'll just drop his name, leave the thread and go fist a wall. Last edited by Stu; 08-07-2011 at 03:45 PM. |

I guess the Marxes would come under comic actors - in which case I'd throw in Dudley Moore and Peter Cook too. Not to mention the Python gang, the Footlights lot (Fry, Laurie, Thompson etc.) and Ricky Gervais.

My top 5 are: Billy Connolly, Alan Carr, Lee Evans, Michael McIntyre and Russell Brand.
British Comedians are better than American comedians. Completely different style of humour, far funnier. |

Omid's best work was doing Yusuf in Grand Theft Auto.
