Jay's mum: he's real, a plumber and working class

How horrid was Jay's mum when she played the working class card to elicit votes against posh Harry and middle class Aaron: "Jays real, he's really real, he's been a plumber since he was 15." What's that got to do with anything, and why does being a plumber make you somehow more real. Harry is nicer than Anton, Jay and Aden who are all working class.
