when brian asked him if he would be looking for romance or w/e in the house he just laughed it off and he looked really awkward imo and he never really talks about it other than saying he is gay >_>

like why doesnt he talk about what kind of guys he likes etc

Hes very open about it.

He was at my cousins wedding and during the speech my cousins husband (his ex teammate) made a joke that if he wanted a "fag" he would have to go outside lol.

I think the prime reason is him having to hide everything. He was married for a long time too so it must have been real hard for him to come to terms with who he is.
