I was watching something last year where it looked back at previous Eurovision winners,I love Eurovision anyway.
Ammi's choice above for the period it was in the contest,was a catchy, instantly draw you in tune so I can see why,( not only because it was the UKs first winner), that it is held in high esteem,not though by its singer Sandie Shaw now apparantly. 'Lipstick' by 'Jedward' last year is one of my real favourites from Eurovision for Ireland but for the UK I did like Katrina and the Waves as Shaun mentioned above. However, maybe this is the sentimental side of me again, the programme I watched as to the history of Eurovision,a song that won that I really did like was I think from the 70s, 'Come what may' by Vicky Leandros, for Luxembourg I think.I liked the words. |
