I can see the majority of the pictures being done in biro, but not the shading, like the creases in the pillows ??? So not entirely convinced.

I believe they are real. There's a Glasgow artist who does similar type art using only lead pencils. It's of similar quality as these pics.

A couple of them look real but a couple just look like photos with blue tints.

Biro is the name of the manufacturer -the Brand name - for ballpoint pens.

same way over here, a 'Hoover' (is a vacuum cleaner) but regardless of make, it's normally referred to as a Hoover in most cases.
