Another Lost thread here...
A quick question about Libby who was murdered in the 2nd Season by Michael. Just before she was killed, Hurley and her kept saying that they knew each other from somewhere and kept putting it down to when Hurley trod on her toe on the plane before it crashed. At the end of that episode you saw Libby in the same mental institute as Hurley looking pretty darn crazy. I just watched 'Meet Kevin Johnston' in season 4 where Michael is challenged by Tom to blow up the freighter ship owned by Charles Whitmore. Michael obviously feeling guilty about murdering her keeping having hulicinations of Libby. Now obviously she's dead, and I wondered if that story was ever picked up again of her being in the institute and known by Hurley? Bit of a wasted cliffhanger showing her in the mental home if not...? |

After her husband died she supposedly went mad and checked into the mental instituiton, that's the reason we get anyway, but my guess would be they planned on making her more important in the long run but decided against it later on.
You will see her again though later on in the show. I'm reading the encyclopedia later this week which answers some questions they didn't get around to in the show, so it could be in that I guess Last edited by Locke.; 21-05-2012 at 08:38 PM. |

Libby and Ana Lucia's deaths remain the one and only time I was truly truly shocked. My jaw hit the floor and I didn't move off the couch for about ten minutes after. Absolutely awesome ending. Always much more effective when you don't read any spoilers or are not expecting any kind of twist or shock, which you always were in finales and stuff.
Although, I thought more could have been done with each character in the long run; one of the major problems with Lost was the writer's inability to write a fully rounded 3 dimensional female character. The only one they gave any effort to was Saint Kate with the magic vagina. lol |

Yeah the female characters were poor, I think they admitted they wasn't good at writing female characters though.
Quite liked Ana Lucia, always thought she would have been one of the heroes and most important characters. Libby was pretty much non-existant until Hurley worked his charm |
