Default Crew rescued 63st teenager from her home : she was on a USA bootcamp Ch4

This is tragic she kept ,getting bigger
after going on the Ch4 USA Bootcamp
I can recal her.

"How 30 scaffolders, builders, police, fire and ambulance crew rescued 63st teenager from her home
Britain's fattest teenager Georgia Davis, 19,

What a waste of resources.

This is disgusting. For people to keep feeding her and feeding her til she got to that size...they should be locked up

33 stone at just 15. What the **** were her parents feeding her?!

Quote:
She returned to the UK in June 2009 to look after her mother who has a heart condition.

But she reverted to old habits when she returned home.

'When I arrived my mum said she hadn't had time to prepare any healthy food so we had fish and chips instead,' she said.

Yeah, I agree with Vicky, it's a disgrace. Her parents should be held accountable for this. They were literally killing her. How could you let your child get to that weight and not do something, I don't care what anyone says but that is child abuse.

My very own link! arista you sweetie
Seriously, this was abuse of the worst kind ...Im not suggesting prosecution but her mother is the problem here.
She should have been given some behavioural therapy to find out why she is feeding her daughter to death while georgia was in America.

If you love your child, you have to do what's best for them though, making them get to such an unhealthy weight at such a young age is only going to make the child miserable, unhealthy and probably bullied. Loving your child so much should drive you to want them to be happy and healthy.

It's child abuse. What's the penalty for child abuse these days? Do they send you on holiday or something? I'm sure whatver it is it won't be any kind of deterrent.

Yes on that Show she was a Trouble Maker
but the bootcamp worked.

Ch4 had no follow up, sadly.

SkyNewsHD just showed
the clip of her on "This Morning"
after the return from the bootcamp.

Ch4 and that USA trip did some good
showing her the right way
but something went very wrong.

I agree it is child abuse but it is nothing like Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy: that's where a parent makes up all sorts of fake illnesses and seeks constant medical attention for their child - for illness that don't exist.

Either way: it is disgusting the amount of resources that have had to be utilised: now and over the course of her increasing weight.

Oh mother is to blame, of that there is no doubt; but the daughter is 19.

Quite a few years where she isn't a silly little girl - who could have made her own choice about how much to put into her mouth and swallow. She has to accept some blame too.

She is now yes, its a shame she did not realise the destructive path she was going down when she returned from america.
But im guessing by the time she was old enough to live independantly she was almost immobile and ill again.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandsty...as-she-getting
QUOTE:
So Georgia, Haslam concludes, is "absolutely not a lost cause. She proved in the US that by changing to a sensible diet and lifestyle regime, she can lose weight. But it will require a lot of super-intensive management, of psychologist and physician input, to stabilise her. And you know, to reach that size, you need to be consuming upwards of 10,000 calories a day. One does have to ask where those calories were coming from. What kind of support was she getting?"

I really hope they can save this young womans life and support her to live alone to make her own choices in the food she buys and consumes.
It is so sad that all this pain and suffering could have been avoided by helping her maintain a healthy weight.
It would be interesting to get her parents perspective.

spot on.

This mother is very selfish, and she has her own weight problems, and aslong as she kept her daughter bigger than she was, she could feel better about herself by saying "atleast i'm not that big".

Very Very sick.

It was a series by UK Ch4
they got her to work out and cry alot
but it was all good stuff.

On our news they have not shown those clips
so I am not sure if its
a legal company that owns the video
and will not allow broadcast edits?

This, they believed, was the root of his problems.
