Default Diamond Jubilee Concert - anyone watch?

Now I'm no raving Royalist, but what a great show this was. Gary Barlow and all the team behind it did a fantastic job.

I'm not even the slightest bit patriotic either but even I found myself being proud to be British by the end.

I have to begrudgingly admit, I enjoyed most of it, Gary Barlow really irritates me now but he has helped put together a good show there.

Disappointed with Shirley Bassey and I think I must be the only person not keen on Tom Jones and fed up with hearing Delilah.

Overall though, a great show, really enjoyable I must admit to that.

I watched the ending, it was amazing with the fireworks and that flame thing! only thing that ruined it was Cheryl Cole stood behind the Queen

I thought it was fantastic. And the ending made the hairs on my neck stand up.

I liked it. Cheryl actually sang live and from what little I saw of the performance seemed to sing well. lol
I wasn't arsed about Jubilee, just like I weren't arsed about the Royal Wedding last year. But on both occasions got together with all the family, food and beer and actually enjoyed it.

I know it seems irrelevant and pointless to a lot of people, but more than celebrating the Queen's reign it's a good time for the entire country to have celebrations about everything the entire country has achieved instead of constant doom and gloom.

I watched parts of it. It was great to see so many people there enjoying the spectacle. There was some great performances. Grace Jones did well to keep her hula hoop going throughout her performance. The fireworks were great, as were the projections and light show. It was quite a wonder to see The Queen stood there at the end on the stage, integrated with all the other performers, whilst Charles gave his speech and she lit the beacon. It's something we might not see again for a long time.

With millions watching around the world, I agree with Jack. It gives you a sense of being proud to be British. Well it did for me anyway.

She started off bad but she got much better towards the end.

I watched it all and at first I was going to be like whatever (since I did not get any tickets) but on watching I found it so spectacular and faultless production. It makes me proud to be British.

'twas alright, Queenie looked a bit fed up- and why was the french flag on the palace at the end? Not going to lie- my fiance turned over to Made in Chelsea at 10 which was more entertaining...

Lol, my cousin asked why they'd lit the French flag up on the palace. Don't think they quite thought that through.

I absolutely loved it. Would've loved to have been there.

Joe. Queen did look awfully bored, huh? I think it was maybe down to DoE being hospitalised.

Proud to be British )

The Queen's 86 fgs. Lol, no surprises she wasn't jumping about having a rave. What with Phillip in hospital it was probably all a little much for her.

Wasn't expecting this many people to have watched it.

Should have started a discussion thread...I thought there would've been one actually. That's why I'm surprised at this reaction.

Me too actually. I came home and logged on expecting just non-stop BB stuff with the launch tomorrow. But erm... the anticipation for BB seems a bit flat tbh.
