I've read in several places that people don't want either of the idjits to walk because they'd rather see them voted out and have to face their boos. If they walk, they still get skewered on BOTS - twice as hard for walking. They still get to read all their bad press, get hardball interview questions, and find they aren't receiving nearly as many publicity offers as they thought they'd cash in on.
In both cases they are going to cling to the delusion that they've been edited badly, and once they're shown the footage and can't deny it, they'll still insist there was more to it that wasn't shown, with a dash of "I wasn't myself, being around xyz drew me in." Conor has already started that, blaming Caroline for making him talk about other people. Is that 30 seconds of booing really more important than getting them out of the house and seeing the week+ of fallout left in their wake? |

No the boos don't matter, Aaron last year got boos every week in the last few weeks when he was up for eviction he even got them when he came out as the winner.
All that matters is the public votes, nothing else. Jay last year got loud cheers every time he was up for eviction but didn't win so no the boos mean not a thing. |

The boos are nothing much anymore. I think the last time there was genuine unfettered proper booing was BB9's Mario.
(and there was that other girl, whos name I always forget, beautiful black girl but was a complete a-hole and 'partner in crime' with a certain Alex if i recall). But yeah, I think Mario might have been the last full-on legitimate booing and shaming. After that they seemed to organize stricter crowd control, allow family and fans first and somehow more 'fun-loving booers'. You don't see those borderline-frightening genuine mass crowd heart-pounding SHAME ON YOU booings now. I kinda miss those lol |

^Sylvia? I can't remember her getting that bad a reaction. I think Jennifer had a much worse reaction. And since then I'd say Bea had the worst reaction.
But I do agree that the boos are overused now. It's particularly frustrating during the housemates' eviction interviews. They really must be conducted inside if you're not going to silence them (seriously, use any means necessary, I'm willing to overlook human rights abuses in their case). I just can't see why housemates like Benedict and Victoria get booed ![]()

But yes, I think Bea did get a chart-topper. To this day she is possibly on my all-time greatest list of most destructive forces of evil to ever wreak hell upon ANY reality show. Ever. Yeah, but somehow the boos are now... like 'good natured boos'. Yay team! the way the family boos the opposing team. But you know.. its more fun booing. And its seems like.. I dunno.. there are far far more family and friends of the evicted. So they kind of mitigate the boos. Can't quite explain it though. *I think I DO remember Jennifer now. I seem to keep thinking she was terrified (rightly so) to do the interviews (bots or whatnot) as people were REALLY ANGRY. I mean REALLY hate-her-guts angry lol |

Maybe if the music didn't play they would mean something cause you would actually be able to hear them.

Aaron started getting booed on his 3rd eviction battle and never looked back. He single - handedly made the crowd redundant by topping vote and then winning. |
