Apparently John Altman changed his return scripts, reminds me of when Babs did her one episode return last year and ripped up her script because it was so awful.

Really? I've only got into recently. Was her return around Phil's breakdown period?

Yeah I wasn't watching around that stage but it's widely regarded that the last producer was responsible for one of the worst stages in the show's history - like Emmerdale was frequently beating it in the ratings

Or maybe he did it to try and prove to Ian that he wasn't tampering with the investigation?
Sacrificing a relationship for the sake of someone else.. something completely new for Max

The last producer, Lorraine Newman, was running the show from 2012-2013. It was one of the worst periods of the show, she thought up Hartman kidney gate and said her vision was 'love and warmth' for the show, hence the absence of any real story lines and genuinely filler episodes literally for months on end which involved stuff like Bobby Beale's pet snake getting loose in Dot Branning's house.
When Barbara returned for her one episode she said she ripped up her script on set and improvised the whole episode with Perry and Steve (Billy and Phil). Last edited by Cal.; 13-10-2014 at 07:32 PM. |

I'm not bothered about that recast to be honest. I hated the character last time he was in it so maybe this guy might make Martin a bit more watchable. The last one was just so... gormless. Like watching Martin and Sonia trying to out gorm each other.
